Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our bustling renowned bakery brand. The ideal candidate will support daily food production and preparation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a vibrant culinary environment, working alongside skilled bakers and kitchen staff. The Bakery Assistant will play a vital part in delivering freshly baked goods to our customers while maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of bakery products, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
Support food production processes by measuring ingredients accurately and following recipes precisely.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
Help with packaging baked goods for sale or delivery, ensuring presentation meets company standards.
Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Follow health and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment for all staff.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a bakery, dessert kitchen or food production environment
Experience baking cakes, cookies, brownies or similar products
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Team player with a positive attitude
Reliable and punctual
