Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Retail Butcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cutting, and presenting meat products to the highest standards, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to food safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment, specialising in high-quality meat products . The Retail Butcher will play a vital role in maintaining the store’s reputation for quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cut various types of meat according to customer specifications and store standards
Ensure all meat products are stored, handled, and displayed in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist customers with product selection, providing expert advice on cuts and cooking methods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butcher’s counter and work area
Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any faults promptly
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper use of protective clothing and hygiene practices
Support the team in food preparation tasks as required, contributing to overall store operations
Proven experienced butchery minimum of 4 years is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures within a retail butchers shop
Strong skills in food preparation and presentation with an eye for detail
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good communication skills to assist customers effectively and work collaboratively within a team
Relevant qualifications in butchery are preferred
