Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary talents in a dynamic environment, ensuring high-quality meal service and maintaining excellent food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in menu planning and develop new culinary ideas to enhance the dining experience
Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in accordance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitising work surfaces, and storing ingredients properly
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure the availability of ingredients
Serve meals efficiently and courteously to customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Follow all health and safety procedures diligently

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience in serving or working directly with customers is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if required
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
