Full job description

Bertie and Belle is a specialist children’s hair salon built around one simple idea: when the environment is calm and organised, everyone does their best work — including you.

Our Saturdays are busy, but they are carefully structured, properly supported, and run by an experienced team who look out for one another. This is not a chaotic salon floor or a rushed conveyor belt of haircuts.

It is a professional, well-managed working day where you can focus on delivering great haircuts and positive experiences for children and families.

What You Can Expect

A full, planned Saturday schedule (9am–5pm)
Realistic appointment times — no overbooking
Dedicated front-of-house support
Strong team culture with dependable colleagues
Paid training in our specialist child-focused approach
A salon designed to reduce stress for both stylist and client

You bring the skill — we provide the structure that allows you to use it well.

The Role

You will be responsible for cutting and styling children’s hair with patience, confidence, and care while helping create an environment where young clients feel comfortable and parents feel reassured.

Consistency, professionalism, and warmth matter more here than speed alone.

About You

Level 2 qualified (or equivalent)
Confident with foundational boys’ and girls’ cuts
Reliable and composed in a busy environment
Friendly, professional, and team-oriented
Previous salon experience preferred

This role suits a stylist who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a salon where standards — and support — are high.
