Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Cleaner to join our team during daytime hours. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment, supporting food preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality establishment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food service and hospitality sectors.

Duties

Responsible for cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed, including washing vegetables and organising ingredients.
Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with general duties to ensure efficient workflow.
Managing waste disposal and ensuring the kitchen area remains tidy throughout the shift.
Restocking supplies and ensuring cleaning supplies are replenished as needed.
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Assisting with serving duties when required, including setting up dining areas and clearing tables.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary practices is advantageous.
Experience in hospitality or serving roles can be beneficial for understanding customer service standards.
Familiarity with kitchen safety procedures and hygiene standards is preferred. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality, eager to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation during daytime hours.

Pay: £12.50-£14.50 per hour
