Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the head chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and presentation.
Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in accordance with food safety regulations.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients as needed.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
Support the training of junior staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
Assist with meal preparation for special events or large functions as required.

Experience

Proven experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene procedures.
Previous experience in a similar role such as Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
