Full job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and customer-focused Appointment Booker to join our busy group of optical practices. This is a part time role Monday to Friday. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with people, providing excellent customer service, and helping patients access the eye care they need.

As the first point of contact for many of our patients, you will play a key role in ensuring our appointment diary is well managed and that every patient receives a warm, professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

Contact existing and new patients to arrange eye examination appointments.
Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
Confirm, amend, and reschedule appointments as required.
Maintain accurate patient records using the practice management system.
Follow up on missed appointments and recall patients when appropriate.
Promote additional optical services where suitable.
Work closely with the reception and clinical teams to maximise appointment availability.
Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the patient journey.

What We're Looking For

Excellent communication and telephone skills.
Friendly, confident, and professional manner.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Good computer skills and attention to detail.
Previous customer service, sales, call centre, reception, or appointment booking experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
