The University of St Andrews is seeking an experienced inorganic or materials chemist to lead on the daily operation of a newly established Power-to-X (P2X) Facility. This is a fixed-term position for 48 months in the first instance, with the potential for extension subject to funding.
The role is central to the delivery of a strategic research facility focused on carbon capture and utilisation. It combines responsibility for the operational management of the facility with a significant scientific role, including technical oversight, user support and the delivery of research aligned to the facility’s focus areas. The postholder will oversee the commissioning of purpose-built reactor systems and take responsibility for the safe, effective and efficient operation of equipment within the facility.
