Full job description

Seasonal Gardener (Casual) - Kinross House Estate

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Seasonal Gardener to join the gardens team at Kinross House Estate on a casual basis.

The Role

You will support the gardens team in the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the gardens, grounds and policies of the Estate. This is a hands-on, varied role working within a large formal garden setting.

Main Duties

Undertaking a wide range of horticultural tasks including weeding, hoeing, edging, planting, propagation, pruning, grass care, formal bedding and general maintenance
Using hand tools, garden machinery and powered hand tools (training provided where required)
Assisting with tractor mounted and ride-on machinery (training provided)
Supporting the preparation of areas prior to events
Maintaining clean and tidy work areas at all times
Supporting other departments within the Estate as required

What We're Looking For

A positive, cheerful attitude and a willingness to get stuck in
Ability to work well as part of a team
Respectful and considerate towards fellow staff and guests
Flexibility is essential given the casual nature of the role

Hours

This is a casual contract position. Hours are on an as-required basis and flexibility is essential.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
