Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Prior experience in hospitality or janitorial services is highly desirable, as is familiarity with hotel standards of cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating a positive atmosphere through their attention to detail.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to high standards of hygiene
Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain a spotless environment
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored appropriately after use
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Assist with laundry duties when required, including washing, drying, and folding linen or clothing
Maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude when interacting with guests or colleagues

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or additional duties as needed
A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations
