Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. Your work will enhance the aesthetic appeal and value of residential, commercial, or industrial properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship and visual transformation, with a focus on safety, precision, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail.
Use a variety of tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding to achieve desired results.
Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
Maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety regulations at all times.
Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Transport materials and equipment safely to job sites using a reliable vehicle when necessary.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Valid driving license to facilitate transportation of tools and materials between sites.
Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and safety instructions clearly.
Strong physical stamina to perform manual tasks including standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction painting environments.
Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with different types of paints, wallpapers, surface preparation techniques, and basic carpentry skills.
