Peterborough | Permanent | Flexible Hours

The Role
We’re looking for a meticulous Bookkeeper who thrives on accuracy but also enjoys engaging with clients. You’ll be confident with QuickBooks and Xero, have solid Excel skills, and be comfortable managing everything from VAT to payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Completing VAT returns and advising on VAT queries
Processing payroll and CIS submissions
Managing client bookkeeping records to a high standard
Communicating directly with clients and resolving queries
Liaising with HMRC and Companies House
Drafting correspondence and responding to client emails/calls

What We’re Looking For

2+ years bookkeeping experience (practice experience a bonus)
Proven skills in QuickBooks and Xero
Strong Excel and analytical ability
Sharp attention to detail with excellent organisation skills
Confident communicator who enjoys client interaction
A team player who can juggle deadlines and still have a laugh
