Summary

The Hamptons Hospital is looking for an experienced Private Patient Co-ordinator to join us on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This role is critical to supporting the end-to-end private patient journey and ensuring a smooth, professional experience for self-pay and insured patients.

You’ll work closely with consultants, clinical teams, insurers, and finance to manage enquiries, bookings, insurance authorisations, and billing.

This is a fast-paced role that suits someone organised, confident, and comfortable dealing with patients, consultants, and insurers.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the main point of contact for private patients, managing enquiries from first contact through to discharge.
You’ll coordinate clinics, procedures, admissions, and follow-ups.
You’ll manage insured patient pathways, including policy checks, pre-authorisations, excesses, and insurer liaison.
You’ll prepare quotations for self-pay patients and support accurate billing and coding.
You’ll work closely with theatre bookings, consultants, and finance to ensure activity runs smoothly.
You’ll handle patient queries sensitively and professionally, keeping clear records throughout.

What we’re looking for
Experience in a private healthcare, PMI, or private patient role.
Working knowledge of UK private medical insurers such as BUPA, AXA, WPA, Vitality, Aviva, or Cigna.
Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
Confidence in dealing with patients, consultants, and external partners.
Good IT skills and experience using patient administration systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
