Full job description

Caterpillas Under 5's is part of TNB Garrison Early Years and Play, operating a large open plan nursery located within the Tidworth Leisure Centre. The organization is dedicated to providing the best outcomes for children, families, and staff, fostering a supportive and communicative environment. We implement free flow between our toddler and pre-school room and are looking for the right person to join the team. We are a term time setting, following Wiltshire academic calendar.

The position is for minimum of 8:50-3:05 Monday to Friday, term time, additional hours can be negotiated depending on the need of the nursery. We have 5 staff training days across the year which all staff attend and additional staff meetings.

Summary

We are looking to extend our vibrant team in Tidworth. This role is vital in delivering high-quality early childhood education and ensuring a nurturing environment for young learners. We offer lower ratios in our toddler and pre-school rooms and a supportive working environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress.
Ensure compliance with the EYFS.
Build strong relationships with families
Maintain accurate records of children's development and activities including observations.
Ensure safeguarding is paramount for all

Experience and Person Specification

Proven experience in nursery or early childhood education settings.
Excellent communication abilities.
Passion and enthusiasm for Early Years
Good team player and a sense of humour
A caring and positive approach
Strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge

Qualifications/Requirements

Full and Relevant Level 2 or higher qualification for Early Years
Paediatric 12 hour First Aid (desirable)
Good level of spoken and written English (Grade C/4 or above)
Be on the DBS update service (desirable)
