Café Manager – Chocolate Bar by Bullion (York)

Our Story

Chocolate Bar by Bullion is the UK’s first bean-to-bar craft chocolate café, created by award-winning chocolate makers. After building a loyal following in Sheffield and expanding into London, we’re continuing to grow — and this June we’re opening a brand-new takeaway-focused site in York, just steps from the iconic Shambles. Think exceptional hot chocolates, speciality coffee, and chocolate-inspired treats — served fast, but never rushed in quality.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, energetic Café Manager to launch and lead our York site. This is a small space with big energy — high footfall, quick service, and lots of opportunity to make someone’s day in just a few minutes. You’ll take full ownership of the site, building a small but brilliant team and bringing the Chocolate Bar experience to life.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading the launch – hiring, training, and setting the tone from day one
Running the day-to-day – keeping service smooth, fast, and friendly
Creating great moments – even in quick takeaway interactions
Building your team – training and motivating a tight-knit crew
Keeping standards high – across drinks, coffee, cleanliness, and service
Managing stock & costs – staying organised and efficient in a compact space
Driving performance – hitting targets while keeping the vibe positive

What We’re Looking For

Experience as a Café Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar
Thrives in a busy, high-volume environment
Confident leading a small team and setting the pace
Passion for quality food & drink
Organised, proactive, and hands-on
Excited to be part of a growing independent brand
