The starting salary will be from £30,628 on Grade D, depending on qualifications and experience.
This full time post is available immediately, on a permanent basis, based at either our Streatham/Penryn Campus in Exeter/Cornwall.
About the Role
Sitting within the online-specific Student Recruitment team at the University of Exeter, this role focuses on providing nurturing customer experiences across a range of enquiry channels for prospective students and stakeholders. You will be providing information, advice, and guidance to prospective students across a range of formats and channels. Working within a team of colleagues in similar roles, you will become a specialist on the online portfolio here at the institution, with the ability to support prospective students and University colleagues in providing information and advice.
You will be joining our team at an exciting time as we create and build a first-class, dedicated online recruitment service at the University. You will be responding to enquiries from a varied and multinational customer base daily across different enquiry channels, including live chat and phone lines and via our CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics. You will particularly be supporting the Student Recruitment Officer for Online Programmes, focusing on triaging potential leads, responding to enquiries, and supporting the conversion of leads through the pipeline to enrol on online programmes.
Within the role you will build relationships across the Student Recruitment Operations team, Online Operations Team and more widely within the EEG division, as well as key academic and stakeholder contacts to support the smooth running of student recruitment activity across all levels of study.
About you
We are looking for a proactive individual with a natural instinct for excellent customer service/sales and who prides themselves on their ability to provide a positive, supportive, and nurturing customer experience at every opportunity. Ideally you will have experience of handling enquiries across a variety of channels and experience in working in a customer focused/sales environment dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
An ideal candidate would be an effective communicator with demonstrable organisational and planning skills. Your attention to detail and ability to provide clear and accurate information is key. Whilst experience of using Microsoft Dynamics or a CRM system would be welcome, you will be provided with training to use our different software systems, as well as wider training to develop your knowledge of the university in a specialist area.
Within your application to the role, you are welcome to use examples or refer to skills or attributes that you have developed in the workplace, or within your personal life, such as through volunteering or other personal commitments like activities or clubs.
