An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and highly organised Governance Facilitator to join the Governance team at University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group.
This role is central to supporting the delivery of robust clinical governance across the organisation. Working closely with Governance Managers and clinical teams, you will help ensure effective systems are in place for givernance, assurance, and compliance.
You will play a key role in coordinating governance processes, analysing data to support complaince and improvement, and supporting the implementation and monitoring of learning from incidents, and action reviews. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of safety, openness, and continuous improvement.
Support the delivery of governance, patient safety, and improvement within allocated divisions
Facilitate and contribute to Governance meetings, ensuring effective documentation and follow-up of actions
Produce and analyse governance reports and dashboards to provide assurance and identify trends, and areas for improvement
Work collaboratively with clinical teams to strengthen compliance with standards and guidelines
Support preparedness for CQC inspections and external reviews
Maintain strong working relationships across divisions and within the Integrated Governance team
Support Governance Managers, deputise and cross cover where required

The Governance Facilitator will provide specialist support to Governance Managers in the delivery of the Trust’s clincial governance agenda, ensuring that high standards of quality, safety, and compliance are consistently achieved.
The post holder will support divisions and diractorates in maintaining robust evidence of compliance identifying gaps and escalating concerns appropriately. They will be responsible for facilitating the production and analysis of governance information, including quantitative and qualitative data, to inform decision-making and service improvement.
A key aspect of the role involves analysing complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and presenting this information in a meaningful way to support learning and improvement. The post holder will work closely with clinical and operational teams to identify areas of concern, agree remedial actions, and support the implementation and monitoring of improvement plans.
The role includes supporting the preparation for external inspections and assurance reviews, including collation of evidence and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as CQC standards. The post holder will also contribute to Trust-wide reporting processes, supporting submissions to governance groups and external review forums.
The Governance Facilitator will attend and contribute to divisional and Trust-wide governance meetings, providing updates, reports, and action tracking. They will develop strong relationships across clinical divisions and governance teams to promote a joined-up approach to quality and safety.
The role requires a proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team. Regular cross-site working between Northampton and Kettering hospitals will be required.
