Full job description

Gardener / Greenkeeper

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Gardener / Greenkeeper to join our small, friendly team on a beautiful 200-acre private estate near Windsor.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a varied and rewarding role, helping to maintain approximately 50 acres of formal gardens and the wider estate to a high standard.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

NVQ Level 2 in Amenity Horticulture (preferred)
PA1 & PA2 certificates (preferred)
Good knowledge of operating and maintaining horticultural machinery
Relevant machinery, tractor or chainsaw certificates/tickets are desirable
Previous experience working on a private estate would be an advantage

Main Duties

Working alongside a small team of gardeners, your responsibilities will include:

Ride-on and pedestrian mowing
Hedge cutting and trimming
Weeding and general garden maintenance
Leaf clearing and blowing
Tractor operation
Tree work and chainsaw operation (certificates preferred but not essential)
Assisting with the general upkeep of the estate

About You

The successful applicant will:

Be physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all seasons
Have a positive, flexible approach to a variety of tasks
Be reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team
Take pride in maintaining high standards of presentation across the estate

The Role

Location: Private Estate near Windsor
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Weekend work: None
Accommodation: This is not a live-in position
Salary: £26,000–£30,000 per annum, depending on experience, qualifications and relevant certificates/tickets
