Based: Tring
Working Pattern: 9-day fortnight with every other Friday off
Ultra I&C's Communications business is recruiting for a full-time Wire Person to join the team at our first-class facility in Tring.
As Prototype Wire Person, you will be working within a small team to produce high quality satellite communications equipment to required standards and timescales.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Electro-Mechanical Assembly.
Building sub-assemblies and complete systems to drawings and build procedures within Ultra Communications.
Continuously monitor product quality during build to improve upon production performance targets.
Panel wiring
Cabling assembly and crimping
Rack Wiring
PCB Assembly
Assembly and re-work of components
Wiring test boxes
Soldering, Through Hole, Surface mount components
Manage security of information as defined in the Information Security Policy
Required Skillset & Experience:
Experience of electrical /mechanical assembly and wiring, including prototype wiring.
You take pride in attention to detail, maintain high standards and can work with minimal supervision.
Ability to read Electrical / Mechanical drawings and work accurately to procedures.
Creative thinker and eager learner
Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
