Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, excellent driving skills, and adherence to safety regulations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on punctuality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
Load and unload items carefully, ensuring all goods are secured during transit.
Verify delivery orders against shipment documentation before departure and upon arrival.
Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers as required.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.
Comply with all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience.
Experience operating flatbed vehicles or lorries is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Ability to lift heavy packages when necessary and handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems is advantageous.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late afternoons.
