Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Attendant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant service, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves providing attentive service, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of food and beverage services while demonstrating professionalism, efficiency, and a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and timely manner, ensuring high standards of guest service at all times
Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, counters, and storage spaces
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of all food items
Manage guest orders accurately using point-of-sale systems, including processing payments and providing correct change
Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required
Attend to guest enquiries promptly, providing information about menu options and specials
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods

Experience

Proven experience working within hospitality or restaurant environments, preferably in a similar role as a Food and Beverage Attendant or server
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous
Familiarity with serving techniques, upselling strategies, and guest service excellence
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in order taking and presentation
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards guests and team members
