Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of construction painting techniques, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects while honing your craft in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care
Follow detailed project plans and specifications to achieve desired aesthetic and protective outcomes
Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress or any issues encountered
Drive company vehicles to different job sites safely and efficiently when required
Inspect completed work for quality assurance, ensuring smooth finishes and adherence to safety standards

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting or related trades is highly preferred
Strong driving skills with a valid driver’s license for transportation between sites
Excellent communication skills in English to understand instructions and collaborate effectively
Knowledge of various painting techniques, tools, and safety protocols in a construction setting
Ability to interpret project plans, technical drawings, and safety guidelines accurately
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as climbing ladders, working at heights, or standing for extended periods
Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes in every project
