Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand and power tools. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. A commitment to excellent customer service is essential, as you will interact with clients to discuss repairs and maintenance.

Duties

Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics and technical manuals
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and engine diagnostics
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and repair tasks
Conduct equipment repairs as needed, ensuring all work meets safety standards
Assist in heavy lifting of parts and equipment during repairs
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs
Execute welding tasks as required for specific vehicle repairs

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand schematics
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for vehicle maintenance
Experience in assembly processes related to vehicle components
Ability to perform maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
Excellent customer service skills to foster positive client relationships
Capability for heavy lifting as part of the repair process
Experience in equipment repair with a focus on quality workmanship
Welding skills are advantageous but not mandatory
