Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and customer service, along with strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively. This role involves ensuring high standards of food preparation, safety, and service while fostering a welcoming environment for both staff and customers.

Responsibilities

Manage daily café operations, ensuring smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Supervise and lead a team of staff, providing guidance and support in their roles.
Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while managing costs effectively.
Implement training programs for new employees on food safety practices and café procedures.
Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the café, including kitchen areas and dining spaces.

Skills

Proven experience in a restaurant or café management role is essential.
Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Strong supervisory skills with a focus on leadership and development of team members.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and staff alike.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
