Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional service. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for hospitality. They will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, managing staff, and ensuring efficient food production in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Manage food production schedules to ensure timely service
Implement and maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols in compliance with regulations
Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance skills and promote teamwork
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service delivery and customer satisfaction
Uphold a positive working environment that encourages professionalism and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in menu development and cost control measures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Strong communication skills to effectively lead staff and liaise with management
Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable
A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences through innovative cuisine and excellent service

Pay: £33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
