Job Title: Front of House Supervisor Location: Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury
Rate of Pay: £13.94 per hour
Hours/Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, 5 over 7
Shifts: 6:30am – 3:00pm & 12:00 noon – 8:30pm

What You’ll Do

Deliver a front-to-back, first-class customer experience for all stakeholders, ensuring service standards are consistently exceeded

Support and supervise the Front of House team, leading by example and promoting a positive, service-driven culture

Work closely with the Front of House Manager, Head Chef, and wider team to deliver high-quality food service and events

Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all service areas, maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Assist in training, developing, and motivating team members, identifying opportunities to improve performance

Maintain excellent communication with internal teams and key stakeholders, including senior school representatives

Ensure all food hygiene, health & safety, allergen, and COSHH standards are adhered to at all times

Support hospitality and event delivery, recognising the importance of key events involving parents and governors
What You Bring

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels

Excellent organisational and time management skills

A proactive, positive, and motivated approach to work

Experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service supervisory role

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment

A passion for delivering outstanding customer service with high standards
-
IT literate with basic PC/software skills
-
Flexibility to work across a 5 over 7 shift pattern

An Enhanced DBS clearance is required and will be carried out
