Full job description

We are a family run Arable and Poultry Farming company looking for the right candidate to assist on our Broiler chicken unit as well as arable farm operations.

Operating a small team, we take pride in rewarding coconscious hard-working employees with good remuneration, care understanding and flexibility wherever possible.

Job description: Assisting the team with the following duties.

Working in the poultry houses performing all associated tasks from chick placement through to end of crop turnaround.
Operating and monitoring the ventilation, heating, feeding, watering and lighting systems.
Ensuring high bird welfare and site bio security at all times.
Crop establishment through to harvesting operations using up to date methods and machines.
Operating modern tractors and equipment to complete accurate and efficient arable field applications.
Machine and equipement maintenace and general farm repairs.
39 hours plus some weekend hrs and overtime.

Candidate requirements:

Essential

Hard working positive attitude.
Work consistently with attention to detail.
The ability to work well within a team and alone.
Excellent punctuality and attendance.
Driving licence.

Optional

Telehandler and spraying tickets would be helpful but not essential.
In house specific skill training will be available.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
