Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about catering, cooking, and food preparation, with a keen eye for food safety and excellent service standards. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and assisting in meal preparation for our guests.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food service, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
Support the kitchen team with food safety practices and hygiene protocols
Prepare ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and portioning as required
Help with cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Assist in organising ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow
Support catering events by setting up and serving food when necessary
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals to guests

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a professional kitchen environment is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the kitchen setting
