Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Venue Lead to oversee and coordinate child-focused activities within our sites in Poole Dorset. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children and young people. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team, develop programmes, and support children’s well-being and development through organised activities and personalised care. Prior experience in childcare or teaching is highly valued, along with a passion for supporting young people's growth.

Duties

Lead the organisation and delivery of wraparound care programmes tailored to children’s needs, ensuring activities are inclusive, fun, and educational.
Supervise staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and safety are maintained.
Coordinate with parents, carers, and external agencies to develop personalised care plans for children requiring additional support.
Organise daily schedules, including activity planning, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring smooth operation of the venue.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times, conducting regular safety checks and risk assessments.
Manage administrative tasks such as attendance records, incident reports, and programme evaluations.
Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, and encouragement for all children attending the venue.
Drive programme promotion through community outreach initiatives to increase engagement.

Skills

Proven experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or similar roles with a strong understanding of child development.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to supervise staff effectively whilst maintaining a positive team environment.
Good communication skills in English.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs or outreach activities.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children’s well-being and development.
Ability to work flexibly during programme hours This position offers an engaging environment where you can make a meaningful difference in young lives while developing your leadership skills within a supportive team setting.

Pay: £12.21-£17.54 per hour
