Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in cooking, particularly specialising in fish and seafood dishes. This role offers an opportunity to work in a busy kitchen environment, delivering high-quality meals to our customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and frying fish to perfection, ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times.

Duties

Prepare fresh fish and seafood for frying, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Cook fish using appropriate techniques to achieve optimal taste and texture
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist with meal preparation and other kitchen duties as required
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistency and safety
Serve prepared dishes efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service
Follow all health and safety guidelines during food handling and preparation processes

Experience

Proven experience as a Fish Fryer or similar role within a busy kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is highly desirable
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen
Previous experience serving customers or working in hospitality is advantageous
