McTaggart Construction is seeking a Groundworker to join our Customer Care team, supporting projects across our sites. If you take pride in your work, care about delivering a good service, and enjoy working directly with customers in their homes, this could be a good match for you.
You’ll play a key role in making sure our completed homes meet a high standard, carrying out repairs and final fix work while providing a positive experience for residents. It’s a hands‑on role where your work has a direct impact on customer satisfaction. This role is initially offered on a 3‑month fixed term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
What you’ll do
- Carry out customer care external repairs and final fix works on completed properties.
- Contact residents ahead of appointments and keep schedules up to date.
- Record updates, photos and progress using our systems.
- Make sure materials are organised in advance for planned works.
- Complete repairs to a high standard and get customer sign‑off once finished.
- Keep clear records of any follow‑on work required.
- Follow health and safety guidance at all times.
- Manage your workload to meet set timescales and client targets.
What we’re looking for
- A recognised trade background in Grounds work or Landscaping.
- Relevant qualification (SVQ) or solid experience in a similar role.
- Experience of working in a customer‑facing role.
- Comfortable using basic IT systems such as tablets and job tracking tools.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach in customers’ homes.
- Able to manage your time and work on your own when needed.
- Someone who works neatly and respects customers’ homes.
- Good physical fitness to undertake manual labour tasks in various weather conditions
- Has a Full UK driving licence.
