Job Summary

Accounts Executive – South Wales (UK)

Job Specifics :

This position is a full time office based role. The standard hours of work will be 40 hours per week, between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Rate of pay negotiable, based on experience
Head Office based in between Bridgend/Porthcawl

Due to company expansion, we are seeking a Full Time Accounts Executive for our office located on the outskirts of Porthcawl. The role requires good sound background experience of Sage One Accounting software.

Responsibilities and Duties

Details of position :

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing data into Sage up to Extended Trial Balance. This will involve:

Maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers and processing journal adjustments.
Processing bank transactions, completing bank reconciliations and agreeing balance to Extended Trial Balance at the month end.
Submission of quarterly VAT returns.
Processing of monthly payroll and pension scheme contributions.
PAYE and NI payments.
Processing of expenses.
Monthly supplier statement reconciliation.
Credit control.
Managing budgets.
Monthly reporting to Director of accounts.
Monthly reconciliation of control accounts within Sage to agree month end VAT, PAYE/NI and pensions liabilities.
MUST be able to enter HP agreements onto SAGE.
Familiarity with Contra Entries.

The successful candidate must have the following skills:

4 years minimum accounts experience working in a similar job role.
Full knowledge of Sage One Accounting software.
A high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail is essential.
Ambition and drive to join the team as we expand.
Desire to take ownership and lead the Accounts department.

SAGE trained
Experience with Excel spreadsheets
