Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and skilled Multi Trader / Fire Door Installer to join our dynamic construction team. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess a broad range of trade skills. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire doors and associated building elements across various sites. Your expertise will ensure safety compliance, quality workmanship, and efficient project delivery. This is an energetic position that offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your skills, and contribute to vital safety standards in the construction industry.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain fire doors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and schematics.
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble door components and framing.
Fabricate custom door parts or modifications as needed using welding, masonry, or carpentry skills.
Conduct inspections of existing installations to identify repairs or upgrades required for fire safety standards.
Assist with roofing, plumbing, electrical work, plastering, or masonry tasks as part of broader construction projects.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to execute precise installations.
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, plumbing, welding or electrical work.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and schematics interpretation.
Knowledge of fire door installation standards and safety regulations is highly desirable.
Ability to perform construction painting and plastering tasks when required.
Strong problem-solving skills with the flexibility to undertake diverse trade activities on-site.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship across all tasks.
Relevant certifications in construction trades or health & safety are a plus but not mandatory.
