Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Chef to lead our new As a key player in Blackpools new Bistro you will be responsible for creating delicious, small high-quality menu. Working along side a previous Michelin star chef.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, inspire your team, and contribute to a vibrant, customer-focused atmosphere. Your leadership will ensure that every plate served reflects excellence, creativity, and consistency.

Duties

Oversee daily food production, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment
Manage food preparation processes efficiently, coordinating with suppliers and inventory to minimize waste
Lead cooking activities, ensuring timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of taste and appearance
Enforce food safety protocols and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations
Develop new menu items and improve existing recipes to keep offerings fresh and innovative
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serving of meals and excellent customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary or restaurant setting
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on food safety and sanitation standards (require food standard level 2)
Excellent knowledge of hospitality practices and customer service principles
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
18 months minimum experience in similar role

Pay: £13.50-£14.50 per hour
