Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of various premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are kept in excellent condition, providing a safe and welcoming environment for all users. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of commercial properties, schools, or community centres, with a focus on high standards of cleanliness and organisation. The position is suitable for individuals with a keen eye for detail and previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning roles.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks across designated premises, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal
Ensure all areas are kept hygienic, tidy, and presentable at all times
Conduct minor repairs or report major issues to appropriate personnel promptly
Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and organise equipment storage efficiently
Adhere to health and safety regulations during all cleaning activities
Assist with setting up spaces for events or meetings as required
Monitor the condition of facilities and report any damages or hazards immediately
Follow organisational policies to ensure security protocols are maintained during shifts

Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred
Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals is advantageous
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential
Reliable and punctual with a professional approach to duties
