We are looking for the right person to join our team in a hands-on role within our busy, licensed doggy daycare and small Kennels

The Role

This is a Supervisor / Assistant Manager development role, working closely
with our Manager to support the day-to-day running daycare and kennels You will
be: - Supporting and guiding the team on shift - Maintaining high welfare and
operational standards - Communicating clearly with both staff and clients -
Taking ownership of situations and decision-making when required - Helping
ensure consistency across all areas of the business --- ###

Has previous experience working with dogs
(kennels, daycare, rescue, or similar)
Is confident, calm, and capable of taking responsibility -

positive environment for both dogs and staff.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervisor/Assistant Manager for our Doggy Day Care centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a pet-loving environment, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of animal care and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for animals, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Previous Daycare experience or animal care background is highly desirable, along with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.

Duties

Supervise daily operations of the Doggy Day Care centre, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
Assist in managing staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations
Provide exceptional care and attention to dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their stay
Handle customer enquiries, bookings, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy
Oversee cleaning routines and maintenance of the facility to uphold hygiene standards
Support behavioural assessments and manage special needs or behavioural issues in dogs
Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or equipment
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Contribute to marketing efforts by promoting services to clients and community outreach programmes

Requirements

Prior Daycare experience or background in animal care is highly advantageous
Strong passion for animals with a genuine interest in their welfare
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina
Organised with strong leadership qualities capable of supervising staff and managing daily operations
Proactive problem-solving skills with a positive attitude towards challenges
Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Flexibility to work during centre hours, including weekends if necessary

Pay: £24,784.00-£26,734.00 per year
