Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Van Driver/Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a van to transport goods between locations and utilizing a forklift to handle materials within our warehouse. Your energetic approach will ensure efficient loading, unloading, and movement of products, supporting seamless warehouse operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are paramount.

Duties

Safely operate a van for scheduled deliveries and pickups, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
Use forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas with precision and care
Manage inventory movements within the warehouse using a warehouse management system (WMS) to track materials accurately
Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other tools to ensure optimal performance
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, securing loads, and preventing damage during transit or storage
Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, completing documentation, and maintaining accurate records
Support warehouse organization by maintaining cleanliness, safety standards, and efficient storage practices

Requirements

Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment, with valid certification preferred
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for van operation
Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) to manage inventory accurately
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various conditions
Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments and inventory data
Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
