Full job description

We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals, with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service to join our Post Office in New Longton.

If you enjoy working in a busy environment where no two days are the same, and the customer is at the heart of everything you do, then this is a fantastic opportunity for you!

What are your Responsibilities?

You will ensure you maximise all selling opportunities to really drive the sales for the Post Office, not only meeting but exceeding KPIs
Carrying out the required Postal Services ( dealing with mail, parcels, as well as Bill Payments, Cheque payments and large banking transactions etc).
Serving customers efficiently, in an accurate and timely manner and engaging with customers to provide them with relevant information and services.
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail will ensure you can be a successful Counter Clerk.
A confident nature, with a positive outlook showing excellent product knowledge on promotions and offers will ensure you can liase with a diverse customer base and cross sell the brilliant products that Post Office has to offer.
Showing excellent product knowledge on promotions and offers
Competence in achieving store targets and driving sales
Carrying out required administrative work
Ensuring all security measure and protocols are followed including balancing a £0.00 every day.
Must be reliable & trustworthy.

Requirements:

Previous Post Office experience is preferred
Previous Customer Service Experience
Good Level of English Language
Good level of Numeracy
Friendly, enthusiastic individual, who enjoys working in busy environments and dealing with many customers

Successful candidates for this role will need to consent to undertake a criminal record check.

We would like someone to do;

Monday (9am till 5:30pm)

Friday (9am till 5:30pm)

Ability to commute/relocate:

Preston PR4 4LL: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
