Apprentice L4 Sales Executive

Location: Liverpool L33
Salary: In line with current Government Apprentice rates, dependent on age.

This role is for a fixed term contract for the duration of the programme with a permanent role available upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

We are a global masterbatch manufacturer and inventor of high-performance black and colour masterbatch solutions based in Liverpool. We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice L4 Sales Executive to join the team.

This role work towards the standards in the L4 Sales Executive apprenticeship programme. As the individual develops into the role and gains more confidence they will; generate leads, make sales calls, and update the CRM database. With the support of the sales teams learn to sell the company’s products by identifying leads and provide existing customers with exceptional support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the internal sales team to receive orders and put on the system.
Gathering and maintaining up-to-date market intelligence within a defined area, monitoring competitor activity (services and prices), and communicating as necessary.
Technically knowledgeable of products – understand and sell benefits.
Prepare reports on sales activities and forecasts for sales managers.
Help prepare bids for new projects or contracts with customers and suppliers.
Creating new relationship with customers and help generate revenue.
Identify new prospects and win new business to ensure targeted margins are achieved.
With the support of the sales team visit potential new and existing customers within an identified portfolio.
Grow existing and new accounts ensuring the quality of service, customer satisfaction, and responsiveness to changing demands.
Maintaining contact with existing customers, monitoring trading levels, and maximising opportunities for additional business.
Preparing quotes in line with the agreed pricing strategy and re-negotiating terms where appropriate.

Qualifications

Secondary Education Qualifications, minimum grade C (or similar level)
Maths, English, Science, Basic computer literacy.
Willingness to learn and excel in the role.
Goal orientated and highly driven.
Tenacious.
Commercial sales/B2B, or similar customer-focused sector.
Experience in delivering first-class customer services.
Flexible hardworking and able to work under own initiative.
Good decisions making skills.
Ability to prioritise workload.
