About LWS

At LWS we supply a variety of major supermarket and processing customers through our purpose-built factories and distribution centre that we prepare award winning whole produce and prepared produce. You can find further details on our produce at https://www.lwmsalads.co.uk/produce/.

Purpose

To assist in the day-to-day operational running of the Transport department and be a key role within the full business operations to ensure delivery to customer is delivered at a high standard.

Role and Responsibilities

Manage full delivery process from inbound to outbound, including all administration duties

Process daily orders of produce in a timely and accurate manner

Control the ordering, movement and stock levels of trays and pallets by coordinating with 3rd parties and internal departments

Data validation, including proof of delivery

Manage all order amendments within a timely and accurate manner

Liaise with 3rd party customers, providing key information, failed services or significant delays

Review internal processes, reporting any identified concerns and suggest areas of improvement

Assist in any departmental project work as required

Facilitate additional tasks as directed by senior management

General administration duties

Role Requirements

- Basic experience logistical background

- Good geographical knowledge of the UK

- Flexibility on working hours / days

- Basic IT competencies, including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

- Understanding of a safe working environment

- Fluent English language, both verbal and written

- Willingness to enhance individual knowledge in areas of development

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to set and manage expectations

- Ability to build rapport and trust with co-workers at all levels

£15.02 per hour
£1249 per annum attendance bonus
38 hours working 6am -15.30pm, 4 days per week, 1 weekend day required
26 days holiday (including bank holidays)
