Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef specialising in Indo-Chinese and Indian cuisineto lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in authentic Indian cooking as well as Indo-Chinese fusion dishes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high food quality and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian and Indo-Chinese dishesto a high standard.
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
Develop and update menus, including new dishes and specials.
Manage food preparation, stock levels, and kitchen inventory.
Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations (Food Safety Level 2/3 preferred).
Train and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff.
Monitor food costs, reduce waste, and maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Work closely with management to maintain service standards and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chefin Indian or Indo-Chinese cuisine.
Strong knowledge of Indian curries, tandoor dishes, Indo-Chinese sauces, stir-fry techniques, and wok cooking.
Ability to manage high-volume kitchen operations.
Leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and food safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional culinary training or equivalent experience.
Experience in restaurant menu planning and kitchen management.
Knowledge of modern plating and presentation techniques.
