Waresley Park Estate is a unique rural estate offering hospitality, wellbeing, events and guest experiences in a beautiful countryside setting. Our Coffee Shop is an important part of the guest experience, welcoming members, visitors, accommodation guests and event attendees throughout the week.
We are now looking for an experienced and hands-on Coffee Shop Manager to lead the running of the coffee shop and restaurant, ensuring high standards of service, organisation, cleanliness and team performance.
The Role
This is a varied and practical management role, suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and creating a warm, professional and well-run hospitality environment.
You will be responsible for managing the front-of-house team, supporting rota planning, monitoring stock levels, communicating order requirements and ensuring the coffee shop and restaurant operate smoothly across daytimes, weekends, events and seasonal activity.
You will work closely with the Operations Manager, Head Chef, Head Barista and wider estate team to ensure the guest experience reflects the standards and values of Waresley Park Estate.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the coffee shop and restaurant
- Ensuring the coffee shop opens, operates and closes to the required standard
- Leading, supervising and supporting the front-of-house team
- Preparing and maintaining staff rotas, including weekend and event cover
- Monitoring stock levels and communicating order requirements clearly
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation
- Ensuring excellent guest service across the coffee shop, restaurant and outdoor areas
- Handling customer feedback and complaints professionally
- Working closely with the Head Chef to ensure front-of-house and kitchen operations are well aligned
- Supporting seasonal offers, events, private bookings, courtyard dining and estate activity
- Ensuring food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures are followed
- Helping the team understand and promote menus, drinks, cakes, events, offers and member benefits
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident managing a busy hospitality environment.
You should have:
- Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, restaurant, hospitality or retail management role
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team
- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage rotas, stock and daily priorities
- A good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety and allergen procedures
- Confidence handling guest feedback and resolving issues calmly
- A reliable, positive and hands-on approach
- Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and some evenings
- Barista experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Due to the rural location of Waresley Park Estate, applicants must be able to drive.
