Job Title: Farm Milker/Yards Person

Location: D&A Mead & Co

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive based on experience

Job Description:

The Lynchmead herd of Pedigree Holstein Friesians are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Milker/Yardsperson to join our team. If you are passionate about working with animals and have a keen interest in dairy farming, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

Perform milking duties using modern milking equipment
Monitor and ensure the health and welfare of dairy cows
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the milking parlor and yard
Assist with feeding and care of livestock
Operate farm machinery and equipment as required
Perform general farm maintenance and yard work
Adhere to farm safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

Previous experience in dairy farming
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of animal welfare & hygiene
Physically fit and able to handle the demands of farm work
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
