Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Home Delivery & Transport Supervisor to oversee daily delivery operations and coordinate transportation activities. This role involves managing delivery schedules, supervising drivers, and ensuring timely and efficient distribution of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and relevant experience in delivery and warehouse environments. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily home delivery routes, ensuring timely completion of all deliveries
Oversee a team of delivery drivers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
Plan and optimise delivery schedules to maximise efficiency and minimise delays
Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company policies during transportation activities
Conduct regular vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance as required
Manage inventory levels within the warehouse, including loading and unloading goods
Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary to support warehouse operations
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance reports
Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules or issues that may arise
Implement safety protocols across all transport activities to minimise risks

Requirements

Proven experience in delivery driving or logistics management
Strong background in warehouse operations or related fields
Ability to operate FLTs safely and efficiently an advantage
Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, and management
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure
Valid driving licence and a clean driving record
Physical fitness for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
Organised with good problem-solving skills to handle unforeseen challenges during deliveries or transport logistics
