Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship to contribute to transforming spaces with colour and finish. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, a valid driving licence, and experience in construction painting.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure a smooth finish
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care
Interpret project specifications and colour schemes to meet client expectations
Operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate work schedules and ensure project deadlines are met
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Assist in the selection of appropriate materials and colours based on client requirements
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating
Valid driving licence is essential for travel between sites
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and colour charts accurately
Strong attention to detail with a high standard of workmanship
Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
