Boys & Maughan is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with up to five years' post-qualification experience to join our busy and highly regarded Dispute Resolution team based in Margate.

We welcome applications from lawyers with broad litigation experience who enjoy working across a varied caseload and building strong relationships with clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team with an outstanding reputation across East Kent and beyond.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a genuinely varied caseload, combining autonomy, client contact and high-quality contentious work.

The role

You will manage your own caseload while working alongside experienced colleagues on more complex matters. Your work is likely to include:

Property disputes, including landlord and tenant matters
Employment disputes
Probate and inheritance disputes
Contractual disputes
Boundary and neighbour disputes
General commercial litigation

You will have a sound understanding of litigation procedures and be comfortable progressing matters from initial instruction through to resolution. The role will involve issuing court proceedings, attending court hearings, drafting pleadings and witness statements, instructing experts and assisting with complex and high-value disputes.

About you

You will be:

A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
Experienced in managing a litigation caseload
Confident handling court proceedings and dispute resolution processes
An excellent communicator with strong client care skills
Empathetic, commercially aware and solutions focused
Keen to contribute to the continued success and growth of the team

Salary and benefits
