Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and possess a keen interest in food and beverage preparation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where hospitality skills are valued, and professional growth is encouraged. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Greet guests warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing friendly guest service.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and dining area in accordance with food safety standards.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient operation during shifts.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards is advantageous.
Experience in serving or working behind a barista counter demonstrates strong guest service skills.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial in understanding food preparation processes.
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner suitable for guest interactions.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to develop their skills while delivering memorable guest experiences in a welcoming setting.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
