Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our construction team. We are looking for roofers, 1st and 2nd fixers. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry and joinery, as well as experience with a range of tools and construction techniques. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality building finishes while working in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project specifications using hand tools and power tools
Fabricate custom components and ensuring precise fit and finish
Install cladding panels on building exteriors, ensuring alignment and secure fastening
Assist with the preparation of surfaces, including minor masonry or roofing tasks as needed
Perform general carpentry duties such as framing, joinery, and fitting to support cladding installation
Conduct site inspections to ensure safety standards are maintained during installation processes
Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, or roofing teams to coordinate work effectively
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and installation of cladding systems or similar construction work
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised carpentry equipment
Strong knowledge of carpentry, joinery, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and construction painting is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling and installation tasks
Previous experience working on construction sites with exposure to various trades is preferred
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring and fitting components accurately
Physical fitness suitable for demanding manual labour in outdoor or indoor environments
Relevant qualifications or training in carpentry or construction trades are desirable
