Job Summary

Join an experienced manufacturing team as a Production Assistant specialising in electro-mechanical assembly. In this role, you will build, inspect, and test high-quality security turnstiles shipped to clients worldwide. If you enjoy hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and seeing a complex product through from component parts to final global dispatch, we want to hear from you.

Duties

Assemble security turnstiles using detailed mechanical and electrical work instructions.
Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure absolute quality and functionality.
Pack finished units securely to meet global shipping and transit standards.
Support stores operations by accurately picking materials using kit list details.
Assist the broader production team with general tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble security turnstiles following detailed mechanical and electrical instructions displayed on a tablet .
Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure absolute quality and functionality.
Pack finished units securely for global shipping.
Support stores operations by accurately picking materials using kit list details.
Assist the broader production team with general tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Accountabilities

Maintain high workmanship standards to ensure exceptional product quality.
Complete accurate documentation for compliance, testing, and tracking.
Operate pallet trucks safely and follow manual handling guidelines.
Uphold safety policies regarding Health & Safety, Quality, and Environment.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate effectively with the team.
Good foundational education with strong basic maths and English skills.
Physical fitness to comfortably handle manual lifting and warehouse movement.
Full authorisation to work in the United Kingdom.

Desired Attributes (Not Essential)

Previous experience in electro-mechanical production or industrial assembly is an advantage.
Tech-savvy mindset to comfortably follow instructions and test procedures on a tablet.
A sharp eye for detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
A natural problem solver with the ability to diagnose minor technical faults.
A reliable team player who thrives in a collaborative workshop environment.
