Monday to Friday 0800h – 1730h (1 Saturday morning every 6 weeks 0830h - 1030h.

Salary

£35,000 + dependent on experience plus contributory pension.

Holidays
22 days holiday a year plus eight Bank/Public Holidays

Sealane Freight is part of Star Cargo Plc, a family-owned group of 7 companies that has been trading successfully for over 43 years.

Main function of the job

Sealane works for a prominent European manufacturer of lifts for both commercial and residential use.

You will be responsible for organising collection from this manufacturer, through to the “end user”

You will be the Client’s principal point of contact and also for their UK subsidiaries and distributors.

You will manage the Client’s project timelines, co-ordinating deliveries and collections with European and UK carriers.

Compiling detailed KPI and stock reports.

Processing client orders through use of Sealane Freight’s own “in-house” operating system.

Negotiating pricing with carriers and our Client.

Monitoring customs processes.

Participation in regular review meetings.

Identify additional Suppliers.

Providing the highest standards of pro-active written and verbal communication.

In addition, you will also become involved in working with other clients, managing their shipments to and from the EU.

Working Environment

New modern 9000 sq ft office in St Albans.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The successful candidate must have:

- Experience of logistics and supply chain management, either from working with a manufacturer, transport company or freight forwarder.

- Proficient using Excel.

- Problem solving and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks at the same time.

- Excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal)

- A professional, positive and helpful attitude.

- Commercial acumen.

- Attention to detail.

- Manage deadlines.

- Presentable, energetic and enthusiastic.
